Tom “Tex” Lawson is a Certified Financial Planner and a retired military officer. Throughout his 28 years of financial industry experience, Tom has worked at several firms including Schwab, USAA, Merrill Lynch and Smith Barney, serving in leadership positions and as a wealth manager. Prior to Tom’s financial career, he proudly served in the US Navy as a pilot in various tours of duty such as a Flight Instructor, Fleet Fighter Pilot, Operational Test Director and Adversary Instructor. He is also a veteran of Desert Storm. Originally from Odessa, Texas, Tom or “Tex” graduated from the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. Today, he and his wife, Renee, reside in Poway, California where they are budding viticulturists having planted a small family vineyard. Tom is a local legend in the military community as one of two pilots to have ever landed an F-14 on the USS Midway. To hear his story please watch the video below:
